I enjoyed seeing it very much. I have never attempted a portrait in Encaustic but your work is inspiring me to give it a try. Most of my encaustic work is expressionistic which I greatly enjoy.

I was in a small town once visiting and I saw the most interesting girl sitting on the bench reading. I loved her colorful mis-matched outfit and the whole setting would have made a great painting. I passed the opportunity and then when I retrurned to the same point after my shopping she was gone. Now, with a camera in hand, I will not ignore what I see in front of me and I won’t care of embarrasment, I will take time to record what I find interesting and maybe paint it later.
